Unreal Engine VR Project Slim [v2023-05-12] [Meakrob]
Its marked as VR/desktop, but i can't figur how to play this with mouse/kb, does anyone know the controlls bind?
Yah, you can blame the media and social media for getting this kind of hatred into peoples' minds... It's amazing how many people I've spoken to who haven't even been to the USA repeat the same hate-filled rhetoric almost verbatim like they are being trained or brainwashed... It's like, the USA has over 300 million people, not everyone is any one way, good or bad, you have good and bad people here just like everywhere else...
But you know people like him, he's going to blame his failure on "the system," capitalism, or the USA somehow...I'd much prefer he say it publicly. #1. Free speech absolutist. Best way to battle bad ideas is to first expose them. #2. Fuck that guy. I hope he's fucked his own future up for good.

This is a clusterfuck is what it is. Fun and unique art style that is an absolute mess and not much of a game, barely even a tech demo. Also, cute avatar!
His posts...bruh is this MovieBob the game dev? Holy shit. As for the "game" yeah it is a raw concept that will probably never see the full light of day. Like others said the artstyle is pretty cool and the overall vision would be cool but yeah with the mental state of the dev and the pace is progressed, I don't have much hope.

Ummm... yeah. That little rant gets this dev right on my Ignore-Forever list. Racism is bad, *regardless of which race one is biased against.* And no, it isn't "reverse racism." It's not "reverse"-anything. Racism is racism, period. ANd frankly, that post is so whacked that I really hope that someone who actually uses Itch had sense enough to report it, cause I'm pretty sure it violates even Itch's TOS. (As well as, like someone else mentioned, almost certainly getting the guy on numerous government watchlists as a potential terrorist...)
I was gonna give this game a go, despite the crazy sysreqs (no, UE5 does NOT need that much VRAM to work properly. It's heavy, but not to that extent.) However, after the dev's little rant there (and apparently in other places as well), I'm sticking him in the same corner with certain other overly-political and heavily racist devs, cause I cannot see supporting that kind of person at all. I hope he gets some serious help, but I'll never know. See y'all elsewhere, I'm ignoring this thread and this dev.

It doesn't read like the manifesto of a racist, it reads like the ramblings of someone with severe mental health issues. Even though the language he's using is obviously racially charged, it doesn't seem like it comes from a place of hatred, but from psychosis. The rant is disjointed, circular, meandering, and ultimately pointless. It's political and racist, but only in the sense that Terry Davis' ramblings were also political and racist. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Maybe he doesn't actually have schizophrenia, and he is actually just a racist who's also a terrible writer.
Oh, fuck that.
I think the current Zeitgeist has trained people well to make excuses depending on the demographics hated on and the demographics perpetrating. I doubt this would get the same sympathy in another combination.

The developer has stated on one of his many pages that "Keyboard and Mouse" are inferior and he will ONLY develop for controller.
Fun fact - even WITH controller - the game is trash. The animations play out like someone walking after they've either -
A. Shit their pants
or
B. Shit their pants, but twice as much.
So, I won't be touching any more "Meakrob" games as I'm sure the developer is the type of person who will one day become a bad actor and inject some pretty harmful shit into their project just to "fuck with the "X" person" <- X being whatever group he's hating today.
The only reason the game "looks" somewhat decent is because of the fact it's Unreal Engine 5. Take it down to UE4 and what you've got is a school kids porno-fantasy project, with about as much thought and effort put into it as someone say, hitting Google and typing "Bewbs lol" so, yeah it's nothing for me.
Welll... that happened lol though I think he's confused. Our generation was taught to treat everyone the same regardless of color. The new generations are taught to celebrate their differences and to SEE color. So, yeah he's kind of misinformed. Thats why if you see a white person who marries a Indian person wearing their cultural garb and enjoying their culture. It's no longer cultural appreciation it's now called Cultural appropriation.

This guy is out of his fucking mind, game is shit anyway he wants money for two animation loops, like he can go fuck himself wherever he is from. What a douche, if you read this how about finishing a game asshole instead of writing incoherent slogans about patriotism.
Checked up on this, guy is still insane. He was like the predecessor to Virt-A-Mate. Gave insight to something that would become my most used VR program. Way better than DaZ or blender for it's use. Hopefully the VaM dev team doesn't get infected with this social contagion sweeping across the digital world as well.

I don't think there is anything spreading... I think this is a fringe case of someone literally losing their mind under extremes. What those extremes are, we might not ever know - but it's clear whatever is eating this guy is a lot more than what he's raging about on his blog posts. This to me, genuinely sounds like someone who has a severe personality disorder - someone in my family suffers with numerous personality disorders and they rant pretty much about the same shit. The difference being, my family member is in an institute and likely will be for the rest of her life due to the severity of the instability.
This developer is someone unchecked and I genuinely am concerned they could become a danger to themselves or others. I did initially think it might be a troll, but... I think I'm wrong.
